You have good taste, but I do not want it .... And the literary interpretation is metaphorical: The pomegranate tree was likened to the Ottoman Empire (the red color of the peso like that of the pomegranate) took over me (the Iraqi people) The lemon likened to the British (the color yellow as the soldiers' hair) came to save me (the Iraqi people) this handsome man but I do not want him ... Take me to my people (want the Iraqi people to rule) A song whose lyrics were written after the First World War.
